Five Star's Research and Development Division, headed by Chief Engineer John Cooper. PE is working on a variety of projects:

A closed loop wastewater treatment/re-use system for DOT rest stops, national parks, etc., with the option of solar power
- A joint venture where the decomposed sludge from tank pump-outs and AG waste will be converted to a packaged gardening soil product.
- Completion of the new model 505 -KA which premeditates all agriculture waste providing the solution to the on-going calamity nationwide.
- Under dock marina sewers, with collection and treatment including live aboards and pump outs.
- Flood proof RBC package plant designed to operate during flooding without pollution.
